The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch this morning for Kauai and Oahu counties, with possible flooding to the rest of the state this evening.

The National Weather Service forecasts a possible thunderstorm producing heavy rainfall this afternoon, with gusts as high as 29 mph, continuing until Friday.

The flash flood watch will remain in effect through late Friday night for Niihau and Kauai.

A high surf advisory for North and East facing shores statewide will also remain in effect until 6 p.m. this evening, the National Weather Service said.
