‘ELE‘ELE — The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in connection with a burglary reported over the weekend at the Sacred Heart Church in ‘Ele‘ele.
The church’s caretaker notified authorities on Friday that intruders may have broken in at any time since Dec. 5, a county news release states.
While nothing was reported missing, some religious items were damaged, the release states. Intruders apparently broke three of the four louvers on the backside of the church to get in and went through cabinets upon entering.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Police Dispatch at 241-1711 or Crime Stoppers at 241-1887.
Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit that offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 to anyone furnishing anonymous information that leads to an arrest.
