Wyland joins Hilo Hattie
Wyland’s paintings will influence a new line of merchandise that will be developed, manufactured and sold in all Hilo Hattie stores, including Island Edge by Hilo Hattie and online at HiloHattie.com.
“The sea and ocean wildlife are such an important part of island life in Hawaii, that we are extremely proud to partner with Wyland to present this new line of products,” says Donald Kang, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pomare, the parent company of Hilo Hattie.
The product line will include clothing for men, women and children and a collection of stationary products, photo albums, calendars, home décor, kitchen products and other gift items, such as prepackaged gourmet and fine food, bed, bath and beauty products, luggage and outdoor décor bearing Wyland images.
Wyland’s serene paintings are probably the most recognized aquatic artwork around the world. He is an internationally recognized wildlife conservationist, painter, sculptor, photographer and author.

Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian’s president and CEO, said, “We are thrilled about flying into Incheon International Airport, which is one of the world’s most modern airports and a major hub for connecting flights throughout Asia.”
Hawaiian is providing nonstop service four days weekly to Incheon, adding 54,000 new air seats annually. Arrivals year-to-date from Korea to Hawaii through November 2010 totaled 79,131 visitors, an increase of 75.3 percent compared to the same period in 2009.
Hawai‘i Tourism Authority is projecting that Hawaii will receive 115,000 visitors from Korea in 2011.
