Kudos to Char Ravelo, Francesco Garripoli, and Fran Becker on a great job with the 7th Annual Kaua‘i Wellness Expo over the weekend!
Sherri Patrick even had Thomas Nizo of Waimea Theater helping at the Leadership Kaua‘i food concessions (Char said she’s on the Leadership Kaua‘i board). Brenda Jose was busy with the breads, and Kerri Villa said the recent Bubba’s Friday Night gig was a big success with a lot of high-riders.
Congratulations to Mel Rapozo (he had a Steelers jersey on for the Pro Bowl Youth Clinic) on being named a director for the Pop Warner Wescon Region. He will handle the football affairs, joining Yvonne Hosaka who is the Wescon Cheer Coordinator.
Hats off to Kaipo Kealalio and his staff at Island School on a magnificent KIF Swim Championships! Not only are they good hosts, the Voyagers’ boys won the KIF Swim title. Coach Bill Arakaki said a lot of credit should go to Scoutmaster Lyle Tabata and the Boy Scouts of Troop 148 who helped with the parking at the championships. Lyle had to attend the Boy Scouts Recognition Dinner for his Silver Beaver, but still had time to take care of the scouts.
