Julian Constantino
Julian “Papa” Vergara Constantino, 91, of Kilauea, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on July 14, 1919, at San Manuel Pangasinan, Philippines, he retired from the Olokele Sugar Plantation in 1985 and the Princeville Hotel in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Feliciano and Bernarda Constantino; brothers, Benny, Martin and Marcelino Constantino; and sister, Placida Constantino.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Yadao Constantino; daughters, Sharon (Pat) McMillin, Leona (Tom) Blankley, Julie (Pierre) Pavao, Kay Marie (Jeff) Berry, Jodie Carlsen; sons, Roy (Lisa Donnan) Constantino, Chaz Julian (Stephanie) Constantino; hanai children, Leslie (Eva Joy) Peru, Eileen (Joey) Donohue and Talitha (Andrew) Byram; grandchildren, Garrett (Cheryl) Hiranaka, Shyla (Clifford) Uyesato, Reeve Kihei, Reyne (Danny) Works, Tiffany (Bill) Woodard, David and Jason Rohner, Royce and Julian Kaimana Constantino, Pierre Makana (Alethia) Pavao, Kalili Pavao, Krystina, Tommy, Alex, Kelli Malia and Kaylin Berry, Katrina Carlsen; hanai grandchildren, Kyle, Lezlee Joy, Shane Peru, Sean Makai Donohue, Christopher, Malia and Nicholas Byram, Raychael Flores; great-grandchildren, Aniah Nahalia, Waileia, Uluwehi, Eden Nohea, Ezri Makoa, Elliora Kawena Pavao, Echo Sol Blankley Rohner, Rylee and Lexee Works, Sophia Kihei, Kaycee and Harlan Hiranaka; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Sylvesters Catholic Church, Kilauea. Visitation is at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
Family suggest casual attire.

Alice Juanita French, 86, of Lihu‘e died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, in her home.
She was preceeded in death by her late husband, Fred Larson.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde French; brothers, William Robert Hayes, Richard (Georgia) Hayes; daughters, Melani Larson-Davis, Alice(Robert) Hutchison; son, Michael Larson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, at the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Lihu‘e at 5 p.m.
Cremation by Borthwick Mortuary Koloa. Private family burial at a later date.
Angelina Merano
Angelina G. Merano, 64, of Hanama‘ulu died Feb. 12, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 14, 1946, in Santa Ingnacia, Tarlac, Phillipines.
She was a retired preschool teacher with KEO for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Marlo V. Merano Sr.; son, Marlo G. Merano; brother, Donaery Guerrero; sister, Tamara Jeffries; one grandson; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome on March 1. Visitation is from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Kapaia Rd., Lihu‘e. Burial to follow.

Felicidad Robles
Felicidad R. Robles 76, of Lihu‘e Kaua‘i passed away on Sunday Feb. 6, 2011 at the Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on April 4, 1934, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, William (Florida) Robles, Edwin (Norafe) Robles; daughter, Evelyn (Rudy) Julian; brothers and sisters.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 4, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 5, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Noboru Takamura
Noboru Takamura of Kapa‘a died Feb. 17, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 95. Born Sept. 25, 1915, in Honolulu, he was chief sanitarian with Kaua‘i District Health Office.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kikue Takamura; son, Ronald Takamura; daughter, Joycee Yamase; and parents, Shimajiro and Shige Takamura.
He is survived by sons Ted Takamura (Raynette) of Gresham, Ore., and Gerald Takamura (Susan) of Kapa‘a; daughter Becky Wada (Russell) of Lihu‘e; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Isamu Takamura (Takako) and M/M Akira Takamura; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at All Saints Episcopal Church, Kapa‘a; service officiated by Rev. Ben Nelson will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Casual attire. No flowers.

Barbara “Steve” Anne Stevens Wilcox, 88, of Napo‘opo‘o, Hawai‘i, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at her residence. Born Aug. 14, 1922, in Des Moines, Iowa, she was a retired journalist for the Honolulu Advertiser.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (Brenda) Wilcox III of Waimea, Kaua‘i, and Steven (Mavourneen) Wilcox of Kaua‘i; daughter, Anne Irene Wilcox-Young of Napo‘opo‘o; sister, Carol (Robert) Littlejohn of Green Valley, Ariz.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 5, at Fairview in Napo‘opo‘o.

Antonio Lagazo
Antonio “Tony” Udaundo Lagazo of Hanama‘ulu died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 18, 2011, at age 66. Born in Pasuquin, Philippines on May 24, 1944, he was a valued employee at Hertz Rent-A-Car.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Higenio and Maria Lagazo; brothers, Francisco, Gregorio and Miguel.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lagazo of Hanama‘ulu; son, Stan (Dellia Badua) Lagazo of Honolulu; sisters, Theodora Dela Cruz of Hanama‘ulu, Clarita (Gilbert) Medeiros of Kalaheo, Triston Lagazo of Wailua, Camila Lagazo of Hanama‘ulu; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 4, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and services beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at Lihu‘e Cemetery and a fellowship luncheon to follow at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Kiyoshi Furugen, 86, of Honolulu died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. Born May 7, 1924, in Kealia, Kaua‘i, he retired as a salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Mieko Furugen of Honolulu; daughter, Barbara (David Mikin) Furgen of Honolulu; sisters, Masako Oda of Honolulu, Doris Sugahara of Kapa‘a, Eliane (Gary) Hiranaka of Kapa‘a; three grandchildren.
Visitation at noon, Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Memorial Service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice Hawai‘i in his memory.

Mary Britto-Kahele died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011. She was born Aug. 31, 1928.
She is survived by her son, Adam T. Britto Jr.; grandchildren, Wendy Britto, Sandy Kane, Sean Britto, Anthony Britto, Adam M. Britto, Crystal Britto, Elizabeth Britto, Alexander Britto; and numerous great-grandchildren.
