LIHU‘E – Some students waiting to go home from Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School this afternoon, went to a YMCA field instead after someone found a bomb threat on campus.
Complex Superintendent Bill Arakaki reported that a note referring to a bomb was found in a campus bathroom.
Luckily, he said, many students had already left school for the day. The rest will be picked up by buses and parents.
The bomb scare is the third for the district for the month. Two others were recently found at Kaua‘i High School.
