The Kapa‘a High School boys soccer team will open at the quarterfinals of the JN Automotive Group Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Boys Soccer State Championships as the No. 2 seed for Division II.
That puts the Warriors against Konawaena, Thursday starting at 3 p.m. at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex, states an HHSAA release.
Honoka‘a of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation earned the top seed in Division II and will face Radford in the Thursday quarterfinals.
Following Kapa‘a, Waipahu got the third seed and opens against Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy with St. Anthony being seeded fourth in Division II, opening against the Mid Pacific Institute.
Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama got the top seed for Division I followed by Kapolei, Hilo and King Kekaulike.
Division I schools playing in the Wednesday opener include Mililani taking on Moanalua, Kaiser matching up against Waiakea, Baldwin facing Aiea, and Punahou taking on Roosevelt.
The championship game for Division II is cheduled for 5 p.m., Saturday, followed by the Division I title match at 7 p.m.
