John Boulay
John Michael Boulay of ‘Oma‘o died Feb. 1, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 55. Born in Tuscon, Ariz., on Aug. 15, 1955, he was a bookkeeper for Brenneke’s Restaurant in Po‘ipu.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Boulay.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri Boulay of ‘Oma‘o; mother, Barbara Boulay of Arizona; brothers, Jim, Robert and Christopher Boulay of Arizona, Michael Boulay of Colorado; sister, Michelle Spencer of Texas.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 20, at Kukuiolono Golf Course Pavillion. Services to be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Casual Attire.
Faustino Oligo Sr.
Faustino Oligo Sr. of Kekaha died Feb. 8, 2011, at his home at age 87. Born June 9, 1923, in Philippines, he was a steam generator operator with Kekaha Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalina Pajela Oligo; son, Faustino “Tino” Oligo Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Florendo “Randy” (Francine) Oligo, Fred (Loke) Oligo; daughter, Felicia (Robert) Bukoski of Kekaha; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Gregorio (Juanita) Oligo of Puhi; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel. Service to begin at 10 a.m.
Family request casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Helena Oyamot
Helena Marie Nalani Oyamot, 49, died Feb. 8, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born in Honolulu on Dec. 3, 1961, she was a co-owner of M&H Service in Waimea and a logistics specialist at Manu Kai.
She was preceeded in death by her mother, Conchita DeCosta; and father-in-law, Severino Oyamot.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Oyamot; daughters, Jerene Nicole (Wesley Manuel) Oyamot and Brandee Lynn (Lane “Kunane”) Turalde; grandchildren, Anuhea, Nainoa, Kawena, Alohi, Kala, and Mahina; father, Stanywick (Marie) Yadao; stepfather, Francis “Cucu” DeCosta; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Oyamot; sisters, Tammy (Teddy) Perreira, Stanette (Melvin “Bones”) Kua, Kimberly (Errol Jr. ”Keala”) Lanning; sisters-in-law, Rowena (Calvin) Fukushima, Wenda (Charles Moon) Oyamot; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Josie Rasay) Oyamot, Mansfield (Noreen) Oyamot, Jonathan (Mars) Oyamot; step-brothers, Francis “Braddah” (Lillian) DeCosta and Kevin Marugame; step-sisters, Katie DeCosta, Manette DeCosta and Lori Marugame; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with family on Saturday, Feb. 19, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha from 7 to 10 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Family ask flowers be omitted and casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the Oyamots with arrangements.
Alexander Youn
Alexander Youn passed away on Feb. 5, 2011 at his home in Kapa‘a at the age of 97. He was born on Jan. 2, 1914 in Koloa, Kaua‘i.
He was a retired supervisor for Hawaiian Fruit Packers.
He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Youn; parents Youn Dai Won and Beatice Gomez Youn; brothers Frank and John Youn; sister Beatrice Naone.
He is survived by his sons Alex, Gilmore, Avery and James Youn; daughters Lolita (Ray) Gefroh, Alexis (Royden) Niiyama, Avis (Jonathan) Tom, Healani (Kelii) Youn; brother Antone Youn; sisters Mary Ker, Dolores Keliikipi, Therese (Leslie) Almeida; 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
