Cheri Lum (go, Beavers!) was doing double-duty, Wednesday, doing the No. 4 duties at Island School against Waimea before getting to the Kaua‘i and Kapa‘a boys soccer matches.
Joshua Quinlan, who recently completed a Boy Scout Eagle Project that has flags flying at the Hanapepe Fire Station, scored one of the Waimea goals along with Jonathan Tangalin in its 2-0 edge.
Saul Rosa got to be principal at St. Catherine School and Celina Haigh got a 90-minute break during Catholic School Week Wednesday. Sam Henriques is a teacher at that school and said Saturday is the Burns Supper in Waimea.
It’s also the last night of the Waimea carnival, and Brenda Jose said it’s part of the Drug-Free awareness month celebration.
OK, if your car needs washing, Reiko Yoshida and the Kaua‘i girls soccer team can do it for you, today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grove Farm office in Puhi. The girls take the field in the state championships next year and can use your dollars.
After that, check out Bridget Arume at the Eastside Family Summit in Kapa‘a from 1 to 5 p.m.
