LIHU‘E — Having trouble accessing the Fiscal Year 2011 Operating Budget or the mayor’s Proposed Operating Budget for fiscal year 2012 from Kaua‘i County’s website?
You’re not alone. If you’re lucky enough to be able to successfully download the large files, you’re likely to get a message that says the “file is damaged and could not be repaired” when you try to open it.
The county announced it intends to improve its customer service on websites by increasing its Internet bandwidth on Thursday.
That should solve the problem, said county spokeswoman Mary Daubert. The improvements are expected to “accommodate more users and facilitate improved performance.”
The changeover will begin at 5 p.m. and could take several hours to complete.
While the work is underway, service interruption will occur on the following county websites: kauai.gov, kauaimade.net and worwisekauai.com.
