Naea Oda, Bryden Salvador, Keegan Loo, Kainalu Gandia, Rilen Loo and Trevor Kua are some of the Kaua‘i Junior Golfers who will tee off in the opening round of the Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association Junior Tour Series for 14 and Under — Kaua‘i, starting Saturday.
The JTS Series — Kaua‘i wraps up Sunday at the Wailua Golf Course.
This event is the first of four events for the HSJGA Spring Junior Tour Series (14 and Under) and will be followed by the JTS — Big Island at Waimea Country Club, on March 26-27, JTS — O‘ahu at the Mililani Golf Club on April 16-17, and wrapping up with the JTS — Maui at Pukalani Country Club April 23-24.
Age divisions are the Boys 7-10 and Girls 7-10 playing a 5,074-yard par 72. The Boys 11-12, Girls 11-12, and Girls 13-14 will play a 5,974-yard par 72, and the Boys 13-14 will play a 6,585-yard par 72.
The JTS Series 14 and Under was started four years ago to help prepare younger HSJGA members for the summer tournament schedule.
