Daniel Ybarra of the Stony Knoll Youth Services group said “The SKYS the limit.” Daniel is wrapping up a visit to Kaua‘i for the first time (it was Marissa Ringwald and Ashley Relph’s first visit to Kaua‘i also) to help the Kaua‘i Habitat for
Humanity.
Daniel said some of the Alaska kids came from zero, and minus-five degree temperatures and weren’t used to the Kaua‘i heat, but the scenery more than made up for that.
Congratulations to Waimea coach Teddy Perreira and his committee on a great softball tournament. Coaches Pat Baniaga and Albert Soto wouldn’t miss that for the world, even if they had to trade in their poinciana tree for the tent city.
Becky Malapit was worrying about the ‘Iolani girls, and Kristy Belshe of the Kalani Falcons showed Aunty Bernie Brown and Keith Cruickshank how to win at Stand Da Bottle at the Waimea Town
Celebration.
Kudos to Eddie Sarita and his committee on a great job with the Hanama‘ulu Swap Meet. Eddie was thrilled the canoe racers had a transition point at the Hanama‘ulu Beach Park to add to the traffic.
