Hatsuko Oda of Wailua died April 20, 2011, at her home at age 91. Born July 3, 1919, in ‘Ele‘ele, she was a retired housekeeper.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Flora) Oda of Wailua Homesteads; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Haruo Miyazaki of Japan and Hideo (Natsue) Miyazaki of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Toshie Daida of Lawa‘i; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Albert Rapozo
Albert F. Rapozo of Lihu‘e died April 22, 2011, at his home at age 91. Born July 7, 1919, in Lihu‘e, he retired as a musician, entertainer and piano teacher.
He was preceded in death by wife Genevieve C. Rapozo.
He is survived by his four children, Helen Rapozo, Deborah (Dennis) Blackford, Nancy (Roy Higa) Rapozo, and Betty Rapozo; brother, Lucas (Daisy) Rapozo; five grandchildren, Brandon (Tiana) Wong, Whitney Wong, Sierra Blackford, Shawna Blackford, and Kiley Momohara; great-grandchild, Briana Wong; numerous nieces and nephews.
Shigeko Masuda
Shigeko Masuda of Kalaheo died April 27, 2011, at age 97. She was born Sept. 20, 1913.
She is survived by daughters Judy (Roy) Koike of Los Alamitos, Calif.; Carol (Ken) Hamamura of Torrance, Calif.; Janice (Fred) Tanabe of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Jocelyn Masuda of Redondo Beach, Calif.; son Clifford Masuda of Honolulu; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service with her immediate family will be held on Kaua‘i at a later date. Shigeko and the family requests no koden, gifts and flowers.

Gavin Kalani Miguel of Koloa died April 14, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 21. He was born at Wilcox Hospital on April 25, 1989.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Veronica Kalani and James Hanawahine Kalani, and Teodoro and Violet Miguel; uncle, Hillarrion (Boobie) Kalani and Kokokuola Bagano.
He is survived by his fiancé, Mona; son, Makoa; mother Ida Kalani; legal guardian Leiolani Kalani Velasco; father, Stanly Miguel, real sister Meagan Kalani Miguel; brother, Christian; half sisters, Imilia Balaan, Anatoshia Balaan, Farrah Miguel, Darralyn; half brothers, Ivan Miguel, Scott Miguel; Uncles, Solomon Kalani, James Kalani, Leonard Kalani, Matthew Kalani, Anthony Kalani, Adrian Kalani, Hermin Kalani, Sammie Kalani, Eddie Kalani, Mano Kalani, Samuel Kalani, Kimo Kalani, Raymond Kalani, Victor Kalani, David Kalani, Ben Paanui, Pumai Kaliloha, Adrain Corpuz; Aunties, Kawena Bagano, Jasmine Kalani, Jaime Kalani, Tessie Brown, Angie Kalani, Rebbecca Kalani, Heraldine Kalani, Loke Kalani, Bernice Kalani, and Sweetheart Kalani.
Private services will be held among the Kalani family of Ida Kalani Miguel.
