This was a week for the biggies on Kaua‘i — Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz was rubbing shoulders with some of Kaua‘i’s business leaders at the sold-out Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at The Club at Kukui‘ula, and Congresswoman Mazie Hirono stopped by the job fair hosted by Lorrie Cahill of the Kaua‘i Community College and WorkWise.
Kudos to Brent Harrington and his Kukui‘ula ‘ohana (mahalo for the hospitality, Veronica Lovesy).
Rod Sueoka had his Sueoka Store “entourage” out to inspect the new property and this was truly a media event as Ron Wiley and his KQNG gang, Jason Fujinaka and Val Rynda and the FM97 crew, and Anthony DeFazio of H. Hawai‘i Media all enjoyed the good stuff prepared by Chef Ben Takahashi. The only person missing was Anahola Joel Pahukula, but it was KIF volleyball night so he was probably at the game.
OK, time to go check out Gary Furugen and the Big Save Easter egg hunters before taking in the big KIF softball game at Isenberg Park and the KIF baseball game at Vidinha Stadium.
Happy Easter, Kaua‘i! Stay safe.
