Harold Lindsay
Harold “Hal” Charles Lindsay of Anahola died peacefully May 11, 2011, at age 92. He proudly served four years in the Navy during WWII in Hawai‘i and the South Pacific and worked for 30 years as a patrolman for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in California before retiring.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Obey of California; son, Larry Lindsay of Anahola; daughter, Julia Catanzarite of Oregon; son, Harold Lindsay of Virginia; daughter, Valerie Woods of Anahola; daughter, Vivian Herzog of California; son, Charles Lindsay of Nevada and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held on Kaua‘i, Saturday, May 7. A private service will be held later.
Clyde Chinen
Clyde Kaoru Chinen of Lahaina, formerly of Waipahu, died April 28, 2011, at his residence at age 85. Born in Kekaha, Kaua‘i, he retired from Fort Shafter as well as head custodian of Waipahu Elementary School.
He is survived by his sons, Bruce R. Chinen of Honolulu and Weslee K. Chinen of Lahaina; daughters, Lani Jean C. Fujinaka of Mililani and Dori Ann M. (David) Ishii of Kula; brothers, Sosei Chinen of Kaua‘i, Tadao Dusty Chinen of Washington, Robert H. (Sylvia) Chinen of Virginia, Thomas K. (Noreen) Chinen of California and Edward A. (Remi) Chinen of Kaua‘i; sisters, Mitsue Hammond of Washington, Irene Rhee of California; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is on Saturday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service to follow at 4 p.m.
Aloha attire is suggested. No flowers.

Christine Pickop
Christine M. Pickop of Waimea died May 16, 2011, at her home at age 61. Born in Los Angelas, Calif., on Dec. 17, 1949, she was an accountant.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Morris Pickop.
She is survived by her mother, Dolores M. Pickop; brothers, Edwin C. Pickop of Kapa‘a, John M. Pickop (Ruby) of Guam and Hank S. (Pickop (Lydia) of Las Vegas; sisters, Linda K. Ishii (Clifford A.) of Waimea and Marti Lewis of Topeka, Kansas; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are private.
