Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo to all the people who came out to support Baby Hulali Kiyoko Rivera this weekend!
Uncle John Kaneholani, who was hosting a garage sale with ono kine Hawaiian grinds, said a lot of things were gone by 9 a.m. Saturday and with that kind of response, is thinking of doing another laulau sale in the future.
Yukie DeSilva said the car wash Sunday was super busy from 8 a.m. and they had some food for customers thanks to some donations from the community.
Coach Philip Baclayon (he was at the Green-White game Saturday) said the Hanakila basketball tournament is coming up (it’s going to be crazy sports come Memorial Day weekend) and hats off to Kapa‘a coach Keli‘i Morgado, Greg Gonsalves and all the staff on a great event at the New Kapa‘a Town Park stadium — even the weather cooperated.
Kudos to Brad Hiranaka of the Kaua‘i Youth Football league and Rob Marsom, coach for the Kapolei Islanderz who were very gracious visitors, playing Kaua‘i’s own Jr. Bulldogs, Sunday.
Kenny Miyoshi had his Masa’s Shave Ice (you gotta try the mochi) wagon at the stadium and the Kapolei visitors couldn’t have just one.
