Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. made his early-morning appearance (it helps when you get VIP parking), and Bruce Smalling was juggling with the Hawai‘i Stream people (Katie Beer did the Kaua‘i Museum piece with Dickie Chang).
Kudos, too, to Chucky Boy Chock and all the Kaua‘i Museum people on a great and colorful May Day Lei Contest — it was a great way to escape the blustery weather, and even Chris Faye was doing the lei thingie under the tent.
