Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. made his early-morning appearance (it helps when you get VIP parking), and Bruce Smalling was juggling with the Hawai‘i Stream people (Katie Beer did the Kaua‘i Museum piece with Dickie Chang).
Kudos, too, to Chucky Boy Chock and all the Kaua‘i Museum people on a great and colorful May Day Lei Contest — it was a great way to escape the blustery weather, and even Chris Faye was doing the lei thingie under the tent.
Joe Olivas (when does he do the fishing thing at Ahukini?) brought his cameras out of retirement since Angela was one of the many winners.
Ron Wiley was doing an on-air remote at the Kaua‘i Community Market and got to sample some zapple pie from Sandy Poehnelt of The Right Slice. She uses some Hannah Huang squash and apple juice.
Bill Spitz was just content with his beef stew, and with all the signs for textbooks buyback, where was Noel Mock? The old bookstore?
