The Kaua‘i Veterans Council is asking for help with door prizes, or financial support for its annual July 4th Veterans Roundup.
Ed Kawamura, the Veterans Roundup chair, said the annual event features benefit counseling and workshops for veterans along with a luncheon and activities to foster fellowship among veterans of any military branch of service and their families.
This is done in conjunction with celebrating America’s birthday for which the veterans have paid the price for freedom.
The July 4th Veterans Roundup will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center located on Kapule Highway in Lihu‘e.
Kawamura encouraged veterans seeking benefits counseling services to arrive early to avoid waits.
There will be a donation of $3 for individuals, or $12 for a family.
For more information, or to contribute to the Roundup, call Kawamura at 652-6706, or Aida Cruz at 246-1135.
