LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Jesse Reynolds, 28, of Kilauea.
Reynolds is wanted for a false reports to law enforcement authorities, a county press release states.
Reynolds filed a police report on May 23, according to KPD.
In that report, Reynolds apparently claimed that Paradise Ranch owner Bruce Laymon beat him up and tried to throw him off a cliff near Larsen’s Beach on the night of May 21.
Laymon said he was nowhere near Larsen’s Beach when the alleged incident took place. Instead, he was with a friend at a popular lounge in Waipouli, Kaua‘i’s Eastside.
Upon further investigation, KPD discovered that the details contained in Reynolds’ report were false. Police now believe that Reynolds knew the allegations were false when he made them.
Reynolds is six-feet, one-inch tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He is of Caucasian descent, has blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.
KPD believes Reynolds may be staying in the Kilauea area, according to the release.
Police are asking for anyone with information on Reynolds’ location to call either KPD dispatch at 241-1711, the Investigative Services Bureau at 241-1696 or Crimestoppers at 241-1887.
