Some members of the Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association participated in the Hawai‘i State Motocross Championships at Kahuku on O‘ahu during the 4th of July holiday weekend.
The races were put on by the Hawai‘i Motorsports Association at the Kahuku Motocross Park. KMRA members that participated were: KMRA President Paul Medeiros (1st- Quads), Kilikai Ahuna (3rd- 85cc Open), Treysen Barretto (6th- 85cc Open), Bryzen Cadiz (11th- 85cc Open), Brandon Carvalho (1st- 250 Expert, 6th- Open Big Bike, 7th- 450 Expert), Michael Carvalho (mechanical problems), Puna Gallardo (3rd- 450 Expert, 10th- Open Big Bike), Brian Medeiros (6th- 250 Expert, 8th- Open Big Bike), Kalei Souza (2nd- Trail Riders on MX track, Hare Scramble trail).
The next KMRA motocross race will be on Sunday at the Wailua Motocross Track. Racing on Sunday will begin at 10 am. Spectator admission is $5 per person, kids 5 and under are free. Lunch wagon & shave ice will be available.
All riders that would like to take advantage of the discounted race registration fees can go to the track on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with track preparation.
Regular race registration fees can be paid on Saturday or on race day Sunday before 8 a.m.
