Tom Lund said the Kaua‘i Beach Resort was actually late in hosting its “Christmas in June (July?)” table during the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday. He said holiday party planners actually start doing work as early as February, but the Kaua‘i Beach Resort still has lots to offer.
One of those features is Chef Mark Sassone, who personally was overseeing the buffet spread for the Kaua‘i Chamber members, and if you thought the mac salad was only for the Visitor Industry Charity Walk, guess again.
Doug Gibson had Malihini out of the Horse and Pony Series races which started Thursday, and the large crowd (even Marty Ellis made it) got its money’s worth as Guy Croydon had Sabrina in the water and tried to stay out of the way of the racers, although the rebuilt Gene Wells boat did well ghosting the racers’ track.
Hats off and best wishes to Joshua Peralta, Ronald Hosaka, Jace Schaefer, Jeremy Cole, Jason Poloa and DJ Higashi on their first steps to being Kaua‘i firefighters.
They started their training Friday and volunteered to help at the Kaua‘i Hospice “Concert in the Sky.”
