Happy birthday to Anna Sloggett whom David Penthallow (he was walking past the CST exercises, Thursday) said celebrated her 105th birthday, Saturday!
Happy birthday, too, to Lindsey Sugihara (how many of you remember her from high school days?) who celebrated her special day, Saturday, now as a fifth-grade teacher at King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School.
Mel Rapozo (he was at the Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association Charity Walk event) said he was meeting special guests who returned to Kaua‘i for a Hurricane Iniki reunion after meeting the people while he served as a site manager for one of the evacuation centers in 1992.
Hats off to Sandi Kato-Klutke, Mufi Hannemann, Jolene Ogle and Christina Gabriel on doing a great job with the HLTA event and mahalo to Robin Graf, Chef Mark Sassone and all the Kaua‘i Beach Resort staff for the hospitality.
Veronica Lovesy and Brent Harrington were busy hosting The Club at Kukui‘ula’s Member-Guest golf tournament with Tom Weiskof and that was a nice chance to see Chef Ben Takahashi, again.
