The Kaua‘i Humane Society announced it will have two-for-one pet adoptions through Sept. 18.
“Summer is a busy time for the shelter,” executive director Shannon Blizzard stated in a press release. “We are going to do everything we can to help save as many lives as possible. These animals are very social and are used to living with companions, so we are encouraging adopters to consider a second pet, and any combination works. Two dogs, one dog and one cat. Whatever fits your family and your heart the best.”
Regular adoption prices start are $60, which includes spay and neuter surgery, microchip, vaccines and medical evaluations, according to the release.
“The adoption fee helps offset some of our cost, but these animals don’t care about that,” Blizzard stated. “They want a loving and permanent home.”
KHS is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through Mondays.
The center is located at 3-825 Kaumuali‘i Hwy. in Puhi.
