CharLynn Nakamine, Patricia Gonsalves and Rose Manago of the county’s Office of Elderly Affairs were proud to wear their Alzheimer’s Walk shirts, Friday while helping at the annual Seniors Fun Day at Lydgate Park. The ladies said they’re planning on forming a team for the Oct. 8 Walk to end Alzheimer’s.
Aram Keulan of the Regency at Puakea is also hustling for the walk because Charles “Chip” Rebb is the ambassador for Alzheimer’s. Aram said this week is National Assisted Living Week and the Regency has activities all week long, highlighted by Wednesday being National Creme Filled Doughnut Day when Chef Ryan Theis and his crew serve the specialty from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday is a BBQ and car wash to benefit the Alzheimer’s walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a perfect time to meet both Keulan and Rebb.
Kudos to Lenny Rapozo and the county’s Department of Parks and Recreation on a great Seniors Fun Day! As Cindy Duterte said, “Everyone loves it!”
