New manager for Reynolds Recycling Kaua‘i network
Reynolds Recycling has named Sue Holcomb as the new manager for its Kaua‘i operations, a news release announced.
Holcomb was the manager of the Kapa‘a location for several years. Reynolds promoted her to regional manager responsible for all three recycling locations on Kaua‘i: Lawa‘i, Kapa‘a, and the Nawiliwili Harbor, where she will be located.
“We look forward to Sue stepping up into greater responsibility,” Terry Telfer, president of Reynolds Recycling, stated in the announcement.
“We are sure that she will bring an enhanced level of customer service to her respective locations. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we acknowledge the work of all our men and women in insuring a superior level of commitment and service to our customers. We are confident that Sue will continue to be a part of this legacy towards serving our island customers with great service.”
First Insurance names new VP of legal
First Insurance Company of Hawai‘i welcomes Leslie Kop as its new VP and managing attorney, a news release has announced.
Kop worked for FICOH between 1992 and 2000 as staff counsel. She will now serve as chief trial counsel with responsibility for overall management of the company’s five-attorney Legal department.
“Kop is a respected lawyer in Hawai‘i with more than 20 years of staff counsel and private practice legal experience,” the new release said. “She previously was a partner at Fukunaga Matayoshi Hershey Ching & Kop. Before joining FICOH in 1992, she was an associate at Rush Moore Craven Sutton Morry & Beh in the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate department and in Litigation.”
In the announcement, First Insurance President and CEO Allen Uyeda stated, “Leslie is well-suited for this position. She’s familiar with First Insurance and many of our people thanks to the eight years she worked here in the ‘90s, plus she offers the experience she gained as a partner with a private firm. We look forward to the many contributions she will make to our company as a legal and defense expert and as a member of our executive team.”
Kop stated, “I’m excited to return to First Insurance and work with such a skilled and knowledgeable team of lawyers and claims adjusters… I’m honored to be able to return to First during its centennial year and have the opportunity to contribute to its success in the future.”
Kop was admitted to the Hawai‘i State Bar in 1988, the release states, and she earned a JD degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, as well as a BA degree in political science from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. Kop is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and American Judicature Society.
FICOH claims staff on O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, Maui and the Big Island.
