Nancy Chaplick of Maui flew over just for the Hawai‘i Hotel and Lodging Association (they will be known as the Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association from Oct. 1) “It’s a Wrap” event, Wednesday, said Marlene Matutino of the Kaua‘i office of Oceanic Time Warner Cable.
Nancy, whose nephews Nash and Benny Wuthrich play JV football for the Baldwin Bears, was thrilled when HHLA president Mufi Hannemann came over to talk sports.
Hats off to Sandi Kato-Klutke, Jolene Ogle and all the Kaua‘i HHLA folks who put on that great event! Chef Guy Higa (he just got back from getting Canaan settled at Pacific Lutheran Universaity) did a great job putting together all the Kaua‘i Grown products — each with a wrap!
Melissa McFerrin was able to make the event after wrapping up the community market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula, and met up with Roy Oyama who spoke of the great benefits to Kaua‘i non-profits from the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair.
OK, time to check in with Jon Kobayashi for the cross country race in Waimea before football at Vidinha Stadium!
