The first Honsador Lumber and Greg’s Roofing Mayor’s Cup is being held in cooperation with Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. to help raise funds for the anti-drug and underage drinking programs.
These two programs are not only close to the mayor’s heart, but also touch all of the people on Kaua‘i in some capacity, organizers said.
Substance abuse is at an all-time high in Kaua‘i’s young people and is all of the island’s problem and people are encouraged to join together to help find answers to these problems, officials said.
