Austin was Taylor “Mahina” Costa’s escort in lieu of Keane-Shane Agoot who was playing on the football team at the Kapa‘a High School homecoming.
And Kapa‘a kept things interesting for Saturday’s homecoming game for Kaua‘i High School — don’t forget the United Way Walk-a-Thon before the game, though!
Myles Uyesono of Troop 148 said the Boy Scouts conducted a food drive for The Salvation Army Saturday, and at Lydgate Park, Valerie Saiki said she’ll be helping the Mokihana Aquatics swimmers and parents with their Saturday beach cleanup at Salt Pond.
Valerie was helping Tommy Noyes (Pat Griffin was waiting for the light to get better) at the Kamalani/Lydgate Park Make A Difference cleanup.
Calvin Paleka said he was doing the cleanup before heading to the football game and Kevin Cram said he had just refereed a soccer game to help Sonny Kaona before coming to help at Lydgate.
OK, it’s off to Salt Pond, now.
