Larry Ephan (he was at the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League cheer championships, Sunday) said he got chicken skin when he found out the Texas Rangers were in the World Series and has watched all the games to date (Game 6 is today in St. Louis).
Larry used to catch for the Texas Rangers and with that background, no wonder his daughter Kawehi (she was in last week’s Waimea homecoming court) is such a great catcher for the Menehune, and Brock is no slouch on the football field either.
Hats off to Tasha Daligcon, Yvonne Hosaka and Sherri Agosto (I thought she only runs around crazy at football games) on a great cheer championships…if you didn’t go, you missed a preview of the upcoming Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation championships.
Happy birthday to Uncle Louie Almodova Jr.! Dickie Chang had a Detroit baseball cap and Lenny Rapozo took advantage to poke fun between Dickie and the gentleman with the New York cap. But, as Uncle Louie always says, “It’s the best dressed team which will always win.”
