Hats off to Bill Georgi (ask him about his reindeer walking stick from Washington) and the Nawiliwili Yacht Club for braving the threatening weather and pull off its Lighted Boat Parade, Sunday.
Dick Olsen had a lot of experience since he was involved with the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i at the Lights on Rice parade and was at the wheel of Speedy who already got notes on dressing up like the Coyote crew. Hats off to Reel Time, a powered boat who joined the merriment ahead of the annual NYC Christmas party.
Kudos to Aida Cruz and the Kaua‘i Veterans Council on its Christmas shindig (Larry Rivera said he was entertaining for two hours) for veterans. Charlie Perreira (Rivera?) was less nimble since he was nursing an owie from a fall and Ed Kawamura couldn’t make it since he was taking care of someone from his church.
John Iwamoto and Arnold Leong were doing the prime rib honors and Joe Olivas forewent his normal fishing outing to help out with the cooking.
OK, it’s off to more soccer…
