Happy birthday to Ed Kawamura, who celebrated his special day Tuesday. Ed and his ‘ohana are working to be in the Waimea Lighted Parade tonight, too!
Meanwhile, it’s been a hectic KIF week starting Monday. Island School does more than just provide towels for wipe ups during the basketball games. Danielle Caminos had a friend sitting and waiting to be able to actually wipe up following a tumble on the floor … great job! She said she plays soccer (they played 9 players to 11 to a 0-0 tie against Waimea, Saturday) and likes to help out Kaipo Kealalio.
Reggie McCabe, Greg Gonsalves and Jenn Bloom did double-duty without even leaving the Island School campus, staying for the soccer game and then the basketball game.
Autumn Warnock was able to accept her KIUC calendar award and still make it back in time for the basketball game and at the KIUC event, was nice to see Beau Acoba home for the holidays.
Trey Shimabukuro was up at the stands during the Kaua‘i and Waimea soccer games and Leonard Vegas is still waiting on when his film is going to be released.
