Jack and Kay Leonard will bring out the Kaua‘i Gymnastics athletes for its annual free exhibition, Sunday at Kukui Grove Center starting at 1 p.m.
This is high-energy, with a lot of the girls returning and showing how much they’ve accomplished over a one year’s period.
Jack said he was at the Zippy’s HHSAA Cheerleading championships along with Mark Bonilla and Nelson Acosta as spotters for the Waimea High School cheer squad who won the Medium Division title. He said you had to be there to appreciate the Menehune win.
Dean Okayama stopped by after the Kaua‘i JV boys soccer scrimmage against Island School and got some preview photos of the gymnasts prior to Sunday’s performance and Pat Gegen never got to go home from the 2011 Energy Conference … he was teaching a young guy how to arm-wrestle.
Kudos to Mattie Yoshioka and her crew at the Kaua‘i Economic Development Board on hosting the annual energy forum!
OK, time to go check out Debbie Lindsay and Leila Kobayashi and the Koloa School pancakes.
