LIHU‘E — The County of Kaua‘i’s 2010-2011 Annual Report, containing detailed information of the activities of the various county agencies during last fiscal year — from July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2011 — is available online, states a county press release.
Some of the report’s highlights include: The purchase of the county’s first rescue helicopter, training for all employees on the newly adopted policy against discrimination and harassment, the economic stimulus program aimed at increasing visitor arrivals and the start of the master planning process for the county’s proposed 75-acre green affordable housing development in ‘Ele‘ele.
Many of these projects support the Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.’s Holo Holo 2020 vision, which will supposedly guide the county in the upcoming years.
