Kaua‘i’s youth will perform at a Shiver This Winter Christmas Jam Concert Dec. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Jam Room located in Kukui Grove Center, according to a press release. The concert is hosted by Butters Leopold, Daphne Sanchez and The Jam Crew. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature more than 20 musicians, singers and dancers including, Karren DeFabian and Daniel Sagucio of Waimea; Chazton Sasil, Kapa‘a High School graduate; John Medeiros, Annalisa Hartsell and Rachel Umetsu of Waimea High School; Michelle Domingo and Nicole Morris of Kaua‘i Community College; Ashleyann Palacio of Kaua‘i High School; John Quisel, a Kaua‘i High School graduate; soul singer Elisa Delgado; Jessi Patillo; Cameron Williamson and Jon Obiano of Kapa‘a High School and Paradox Lockdown; dancers Mark Domingo and Russell Cubangbang; hula by Raevyn Ibia of KCC; and magician Rheme Ragasa of Kapa‘a High School.
There will be a Black Light Show by New Hope Church with special guest performance by Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Jr., and all talents will perform their rendition of a Christmas song.
Special appearance by Hip Hop Santa and keiki elves who will pass out goodies for everyone, plus be games, prizes and complimentary Christmas cookies and beverages.
Everyone is welcome on a first come, first serve basis with limited seating. The Jam Room is a free youth venue that opened June 2009 and is sponsored by Kukui Grove Center and Musique International. On Dec. 30, The Jam Room will host “Party Rock 2011: The Final Jam” at the mall’s exhibition area.
