Good winds on Thursday created excitement and good sailing at the Nawiliwili Yacht Club’s Paul Pond Series, Race No. 2, at Nawiliwili Harbor.
OZone, which played second fiddle to Fast Company in the opening race last week, topped the field over three laps in winds which blew in at 12 mph to 20 mph from the East-Northeast.

Fast Company, although crossing on a 1:12:04 elapsed sail, was relegated to third place by Papa‘au, crossing on a 1:15:04 elapsed sail but correcting to 1:11:52 PHRF, bettering the Fast Company correction of 1:12:11 PHRF for second place.
Bonjolea, sporting a new personalized spinnaker, filled in the fourth berth on a 1:15:45 elapsed sail, hot on the tail of Papa‘au, correcting to 1:12:50 PHRF, less than a minute off Fast Company’s corrected time.
