Clarence Luczon Sr.
Clarence Norton Luczon Sr. of Kalaheo died March 4, 2012, at his home in Kalaheo. Born on February 26, 1971, in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, he was previously employed at King Auto Center.
He was preceded in death by his son Clarence Keoki Luczon Jr. of Wailua Houselots; paternal grandparents Salustiano and Ceferina Luczon of Puhi; maternal grandparents Narciso and Saturnina Cabinatan of Hanamaulu, Kaua‘i.
He is survived by his father, Julian Luczon Sr.; mother, Viviana Cabinatan Luczon of Wailua Houselots; daughters, Ashlyn Luczon and Chanlyn Luczon of Wailua Houselots; grandchild, Aaliyah Feigh Carbonell of Wailua Houselots; brothers, Julian Luczon Jr. of Puhi, Norman (Nora) Luczon of Koloa; sisters, Lorna (Michael) Navarro of Puhi, Angela (Reuben Kim) Luczon of Wailua Houselots; ex-wife Elizabeth of Kaumakani and friend Pua Vidinha of Kalaheo; and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa, Saturday, March 31. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services soon to follow. Ashes will be scattered at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary, Koloa, Kaua‘i.
Patrick Lopez Sr.
Patrick Lopez Sr., the Governor of Keapana Valley, departed to be present with the Lord on March 23, 2012, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 76. He was born on July 13, 1935, in Makaweli, Kaua’i. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Lihu‘e Plantation and a hog farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father Marcelino Lopez, mother Mary Medina, stepfather John Medina, father-in-law William Texeira Sr., mother-in-law Angeline Chandler-Texeira, and brothers Ernest Silva, Vincent Lopez Sr. and Philip Lopez, and sister Helen Perreira.
He is survived by the love of his life, “Sweetie” Rosalina Lopez of Keapana, five children, sons Patrick “Bo Boy” (Ilima) Lopez Jr. of Keapana, Jonah J. “Rambo” Lopez of Keapana; daughters Petra Lopez-Makanani of Keapana, Cornell (Jeff) Barton of Kent, Washington, LeeUndra (Andrew) Baltazar Sr. of Keapana; 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother Alfred Lopez Sr. of Keapana; sisters Henrietta Boynton of Kapahi, Elizabeth (Wayne) Alianic Sr. of Lawa‘i; and, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunties, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapa‘a. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Mass to follow. Casual attire.
David Stuart Jr.
David P. Stuart Jr., of Waimea, Kaua‘i, passed away on March 23, 2012, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, at the age of 94. He was born on Nov. 4, 1917, in Armstrong County, Penn. After retiring as a representative of the Bureau of National Affairs in Honolulu, Stuart traveled to 72 countries as a Baha’i Traveling Teacher and settled on Kaua‘i in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Porter Stuart III and Mathilda Ann Hawk, and siblings Jessie O. Riggins, Mary Etta Stuart, James E. Stuart, Hiram B. Stuart and Harry E. Stuart.
He is survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews in California, Indiana, Pennsylvania and England.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on March 30 at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
