Kilauea Mayor Gary Pacheco got all excited when he saw Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. roll into the parking lot at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center, Wednesday.
Gary said the North Shore Lions Pancake Breakfast is coming up April 15 (tax day?) at Hanalei School cafeteria and as usual, there will be hula, pancakes, ono breakfast, silent auction, and of course, lots of good people.
Mayor Bernard, of course, got a lot of mileage, greeting a busload of kupuna who showed up for Zumba at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center before leaving with Bev Brody, Jodi Driskol and Jenn Linton (she didn’t have volleyball, Tuesday night).
Alan Talaga of the Wisconsin Clearinghouse got to meet the mayor (he called Alan ‘Wisconsin’). Alan was also at the Kaua‘i Community Market, Saturday where he got to meet Sasha Figuera, the EBT lady with Bruce Smalling.
OK, time to go check out Sybil Nishioka and the rummage and bake sale to benefit the All Saints Youth Group starting at 9 a.m.
