Kapa‘a High School alumni Shawn Doo got to come home for the weekend, bringing his Maryknoll High School Spartans boys volleyball team for some pre-season games, starting with his alma mater Kapa‘a Thursday night.
Wayne Doliente was checking out the KIF track meet, and taking the traffic into consideration (the Kapa‘a bypass road is closed), made it to the Bernice Hundley in lots of time for the game.
Calvin Paleka wanted to do the volleyball games, too, since Jonathan Paleka started as a libero, but Calvin had to officiate the high jump (Joshua Cram was playing volleyball so no jumping).
Greg Gonsalves is looking forward to the KIF softball games, Saturday since this is the first time they get to use the new softball field on campus. He said they’ll do a short dedication before the games.
Duane Miyasato was able to make a short stop at the Lawa‘i Menehune Mart on the way to his make-up AJA Baseball game, Wednesday.
He said the KCC Fine Dining starts Mar. 13 and already a lot of the dates are sold out.
