LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce on April 17 held its inaugural ribbon cutting program ceremony in celebration of Bayada Home Health Care and Habilitation, which has acquired the business formerly known as Nursefinders, a Chamber news release states.
Bayada’s nationwide chain provides home health care services such as adult nursing, pediatric care, assistive care and habilitation. The company’s first office opened in Philadelphia in 1975.
Today, Bayada has more than 240 offices in 25 states and in India.
President and founder Mark Baiada and his wife, Ann, attended the company’s new Kaua‘i office grand opening, attended by the Bayada team, several field team members and Chamber members.
Bayada Director Cheryl Stiglmeier announced the renaming of Nursefinders as Bayada Home Health Care. She emphasized “The Bayada Way” and its three core home health care values: compassion, excellence and reliability.
Baiada cut the ribbon and was presented with a maile lei.
Kahu Mels Tejada provided the office with a blessing, followed by a hula performed by Bayada’s own on-call
associate Chelsie Boiser, with Hawaiian entertainment by Tejada.
Baiada learned how to do the “hukuilau,” the news release states.
