LIHU‘E — Jonathan Tangalin spent the 2012 KIF Boys Volleyball season setting up others. Now he’s the one receiving the recognition.
Tangalin, a senior setter for the Menehune, was named the KIF Boys Volleyball Player of the Year, a release from the KIF states.
Tangalin, who was also named to the KIF all-star team as a setter, was joined by fellow Menehune Kaili Schumacher-Lagundino, Mark Kanahele, Koa Luce-Yamamoto and Chase Parongao on the all-star team.
Waimea head coach Enoka Karratti was named the KIF Coach of the Year after leading the Menehune to the KIF title.
Kaua‘i Red Raider senior Donovan Harrison and Kapa‘a Warrior junior Jeremiah Obrero were also named to the all-star team.
