Richard Quinsaat
Richard James Quinsaat of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, died on June 2, 2012, at his home at the age of 73. He was born on April 17, 1939, in Koloa, Kaua‘i. He was retired from the Pacific Missile Range facility, Marine Section.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Quintin A. Quinsaat and Annie Santana; and his sisters, Mertle Quinsaat and Sharon Holley.
He is survived by his wife Sandra P. Quinsaat; son, R.J. Quinsaat; daughters, Eva Rochelle Rockwell, Quinsiann Laborte and Kasandra Quinsaat; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Linda Manatad, Diana Eichlin and Barbar Bell.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 9, at Kukuiolono Golf Course at 11:30 am. Family request casual attire.

Betty Odo
Mrs. Betty M. Odo of Honolulu, formerly of Kaua‘i and Japan, died on May 8, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born in Platteville, Colo., on August 1, 1917, and was a retired self-employed farmer.
She is survived by sons Franklin Odo of Washington, D.C. and Alan Odo of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and relatives in Japan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Masaru Odo and son, Masaru Odo.
Services will be Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation at 1:30pm, casual attire suggested; no flowers.
Andrew Ken Higa
Andrew Ken Higa of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, died at Queens Memorial Hospital on May 28, 2012, at the age of 59. He was born in Honolulu on Aug. 29, 1952. He had been currently employed in the maintenance department at Kaua‘i Marriott Hotel. He had also worked at Coco Palms Hotel, Kaua‘i Surf Hotel, Agape Painting Co. and Kaua‘i Resorts Hotel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Senkai Higa; and his sister, Caroline Okimoto of O‘ahu.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Blume-Higa; daughter, Karalee Higa of Kapa‘a; mother, Yae Higa, Honolulu and three brothers William (Sueko) Higa, Howard Higa, and Frederick Higa all from Honolulu; brother-in-law Timothy (Irene) Blume of Kapa‘a and brother-in-law, Richard Okimoto. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 16, at Kapa‘a Missionary Church with viewing at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m., refreshments to follow. Family request casual attire and flowers to be omitted.
