Andrew Ken Higa, 59, of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, died on May 28, 2012 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He was a maintenance worker at Kaua‘i Marriott Hotel.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Blume Higa; daughter, Karalee Higa; mother, Yae Higa and brothers, Willian (Sueko) Frederick and Howard Higa.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 16, at the Kapa‘a Missionary Church. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Service to begin at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and no flowers.
Arrangements are by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawai‘i.

Donna Marie Joiner, 50, of ‘Ewa Beach, died on June 8, 2012, at Pali Momi Medical Center. She was born in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i. She was a Registered Nurse for Straub Clinic & Hospital.
Survived by husband, Alan J. Joiner of ‘Ewa Beach; brothers Stanley (Alicia) Viquelia of Kaua‘i, Jerry (Nadine) Viquelia of ‘Ewa Beach and Donald Viquelia of Kaua‘i; sisters Anita (Robert) Salvador of Calif., Geraldine (Elicio) Bolosan of Kaua‘i and Debbie (Charles) Zanders of Calif.
Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday June 20, 2012, at Nu‘uanu Memorial Park & Mortuary; service at 10:30 a.m.; burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetary. Casual attire recommended.
Helen Bukoski
Helen S. Bukoski of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, died on June 13, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. She was born on December 16, 1924, in Koloa, Kaua‘i. She was a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Bukoski and parents, Frank G. Silva and Julia S. Silva.
She is survived by her two sons, Howard Bukoski and Clifford (Linda) Bukoski, both of Kalaheo; one daughter, Annette (Burt) Hadama of O‘ma‘o; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Tony Silva; two sisters, Julia Orsatelli and Theresa Olson; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services will be held.

Hatsuko Kimura
Hatsuko Kimura of Waimea, Kaua‘i, died on June 4, 2012, at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 89. She was born on May 6, 1923, in Kaumakani, Kaua‘i. She was a nurse.
She is survived by her son, Ford (Noele) Kimura of Lihu‘e; daughter, Candace Kimura of Honolulu; two brothers, Bijou and Kiyoshi Kato, both of Honolulu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held.
