LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department wants the public to be aware of street closures along the annual Kamehameha Day Parade route on Saturday, a news release states.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., and from approximately 9:30 a.m. police will close off all cross streets to accommodate the event. Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are expected.
Road closures will include Ho‘olako Street from the south stadium entrance to Rice Street, Rice Street from Ho‘olako Street to Haleko Road and ‘Eiwa and ‘Umi streets between Hardy and Rice streets.
Officers will be manning the closures and will keep the roads closed until the parade is over.
