LIHU‘E — A Kapa‘a man pleaded no contest to burglary, assault and property damage.
Christian Raven Wood, 21, was in 5th Circuit Court Monday regarding an Aug. 7, 2011, first-degree burglary of a Kilauea residence.
He pleaded no contest to three of the five charges from the September indictment.
In addition to first-degree burglary, Raven Wood pleaded to two third-degree assault charges against two individuals at the residence. He also pleaded to fourth-degree criminal property damage.
Defense attorney Daniel Hempey represented the defendant.
County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Lisa Arin said the state is recommending a five-year probation with up to 90 days in jail in the deal. The state is also asking that a deferred acceptance of a guilty plea from a separate case be set aside.
Chief Judge Randal Valenciano ordered sentencing set for Oct. 4.
