HANALEI — One lane of Kuhio Highway on the slope between Princeville and Hanalei, just south of the Hanalei Bridge, will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day.
According to Bow Construction Management, crews will be working on stabilizing the hillside above the road. Flaggers will be on site routing traffic through alternate lanes.
The work is part of a larger project that is expected to be completed by mid-December or sooner, weather permitting. For safety and convenience, drivers are encouraged to plan for extra time to go through this area.
The Department of Transportation and all construction workers extend a mahalo for the community’s patience while they continue to make Kaua‘i’s roads safe.
