HANALEI – The Hanalei transfer station is temporarily not accepting green waste due to muddy conditions.
As soon as conditions improve, the green waste collection service will resumed, according to a county news release.
Area residents wishing to dispose of green waste during the suspension of this service may take their green waste to the Kapa‘a transfer station.
Other recycling programs will be continuing at the Hanalei transfer station, including recycling of appliances, scrap metals, propane tanks, used tires, household items in the Kaua‘i Recycles drop bins, and residential used motor oil and motor oil filters.
