The Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay is hosting a community update meeting at Black Pot Beach Park starting at 5 p.m. today.
“The Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay is getting close to raising the needed funds and wants to let people know what is happening with the repair and restoration of the historic Hanalei Pier,” said George Corrigan, president of the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay.
Tony Motta of the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay said the club is still in the fundraising phase of the repair and restoration work with the state leading the efforts on the actual work.
“This is important for the people to know what is taking place,” Motta said in a phone conversation.
The public is invited to this informational meeting where light refreshments will be served.
