The Agency on Elderly Affairs has scheduled two additional identification card/medication management workshops, according to a County of Kaua‘i news release.
The first workshop is scheduled Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center.
The second workshop is scheduled for Nov. 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center.
Each workshop will feature a presentation from a local pharmacist from 10 to 10:30 a.m., and there will be a time to answer questions.
There will also be information tables regarding several community programs including: Share the Care, Stay at Home Health Care Service, Healthy Aging, Ho‘ola Lahui and RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program).
Seniors 60 years and older will have the opportunity to obtain a senior ID card at the workshops.
Legal documents that show the person’s name, age and social security number must be presented in order to receive a senior ID. An intake form will also need to be filled out.
There is no charge for the IDs, but donations are appreciated.
