LIHU‘E – Local author Jill Marie Landis will be signing copies of her latest release “Two to Mango” at the Tahiti Nui in Hanalei on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
The best-selling author of over 26 novels, Landis’ latest work is part of the Tiki Goddess Mysteries, a series of hilarious cozy mysteries set on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.
In this investigative comedy, the hula is lively, the lu‘au is smoking, the mai tais are delicious and a killer is looking to get away with murder in paradise.
“Forget the grass skirts,” Landis said. “Some of the island’s top hula dancers are pushing up daisies in this novel.”
At Em Johnson’s famous North Shore Kaua‘i hangout, The Tiki Goddess Bar, everyone knows that the bar’s irrepressible hula maidens take their hula dancing seriously. So when famed hula instructors from a rival dance troop start dropping like over-ripe passion fruits, Em and the Hula Maidens go undercover at the Kukui Nut Festival Hula Competition to uncover the killer.
Em is once again up to her okole in danger and mystery. Add to the mix the seductive challenge of working with hunky detective Roland Sharpe, who moonlights as one of the island’s sexiest fire dancers, and you are in for a good time, Hawaiian-style.
When in a romantic tropical setting like Kaua‘i, many would say that it takes two to go tan; if you get a chance to share this marvel with someone dear, “Two to Mango” is sure to double-up the pleasurable experience.
Admission is free. Books will be available for sale.
