LIHU‘E — In observance of Statehood Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed Friday, along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill and Kaua‘i Resource Center.
In addition, the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools will be closed for the holiday, according to a news release from the county.
Puhi Metals Recycling Center will remain open on Statehood Day, as well as the HI-5 bottle redemption centers that are normally open on Fridays with the exception of Kaua‘i Resource Center.
Residential refuse pick-up will continue as scheduled. The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on a modified schedule. Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Monday.
